Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Card Challenge 474 - No Sentiment

A new challenge every Saturday

This week at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge we are looking for a card without a sentiment. I first printed a digital image from  Tiddley Inks called Xmas Mavis 2. I coloured it with Copics markers and added a little glitter using a Nova Glitter pen to the fur trim. Next I fussy cut out the kitty, then die cut three different sized Christmas ornament shaped. In the largest one, I added the kitty using foam tape for dimension. I used paper from my stash.

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 473 - use a sentiment

A new challenge every Saturday

This week at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge we are looking for a card with a sentiment on the card front. I was playing around with making watercolour backgrounds and using die-cuts as the main subject. I first coloured the backgrounds using distress inks on both watercolour and bristol cardstock. Once dry, I selected the various dies/stamps that I wanted to use. I also made cards using both the negative and positive cuts of the white cardstock and painted backgrounds. If you have any specific questions about the dies, please email me or leave a comment below.

This week's challenge at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 472 - Feature a Creature (any animal). I decided to use a new die set called, "ALL INSIDE BY JULIE EBERSOLE, ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN Hudson DESIGNER DIES". I used papers from my stash, die the little bear, added a die-cut sentiment from, "Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions Craft Dies" and layered it on my card front.

Sorry about the quality of my photograph. I am away from home at this moment and cannot rephotograph it.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 471-Upcycle or Use Something Old

Please join my Facebook page

The first challenge of 2020 for Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge is to make a card using something old or upcycling. I decided to recycle a card. I started first by stamping and colouring a digital image. I used a stamp from A Day for Daisies – A Sign I Give. I coloured the image with Copic markers, fussy cut him out and layered him on the card. I also added a real ribbon stripe to the left of the image.
