Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 444 – use a snowflake or two or more

This week at Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge we are looking for a snowflake or two. I love the little popup box card. I used the rounded edge box card by Simply Crafty SVGs. I added snowflake die cuts by various companies, plus a snowman by Marianne Designs,

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 443 – use some washi tape

CHNC blog button DT
For this week’s Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge we are looking for a project using washi tape. I looked at the card I made for last week’s challenge (see below) and thought, why not make the tree using washi tape, so that is exactly what I did.  I used a fabulous SVG file called, Blue Christmas (I swapped out washi tape for the tree) by A Little Scrap of Heaven. I also changed the card setup,

52 Christmas Card Challenge – 52CCT24-19 – June 15th – Theme: shabby or vintage

This week at 52CCT our challenge is Shabby or Vintage. I tried for a little of both. I used a fabulous stamp by Stampendous called, Snowy Postcard, I paired it with some vintage Christmas paper from my stash and added some embellishments.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 442 – non-traditional Christmas

CHNC blog button DT
Normally when you think of Christmas colours, you automatically think red and green, gold and silver.  I have made some pretty wild Christmas cards but today I was thinking soft pink. I used a fabulous SVG file called, Blue Christmas (I swapped out pink paper for blue) by A Little Scrap of Heaven. I add some detail to the snow, I embossed the snow banks and snowman with a snowflake embossing folder from my collection.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 441 – winter fun

CHNC blog button DT
The CHNCC this week is to design a Christmas project showing winter fun. What is more fun than getting outside and building a snowman? I used a stamp from Papertry Inc. called Winter Hills, and a snowman digi stamp from Dilly Beans stamps called 523 Heart Snowman. The sentiment is from MFT. I coloured the images with Copics, added some Stickles, and added some snowflake stickers from my stash.

52 Christmas Card Challenge – 52CCT22-19 – June 8th – Colour: Grey white pink kraft

I have been having fun using my Cricut Explore Air and some of the fabulous SVG files available. That non-traditional Christmas image is called Christmas Bus Card, by  Jamie and Jann. I used different shapes of grey, pink, white/black, and kraft papers to create my scene.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 440 – include a bear

CHNC blog button DT
I have collected bears all my life. It all started when my brother (who was 8 years older than me) gave me his own panda bear stuffy when I was born. He also called me Pooh or Bear! When I think of Christmas I fondly remember my brother buying me special Christmas bears. When the CHNCC Design Team wanted a bear themed card it was easy for me to make one because I have 100′s of bear stamps, dies, stickers, digis, and SVG cut files. For today’s card, I used a new SVG I purchased from A Little Scrap of Heaven called, Ready for Christmas. I inked the edges with distress ink for added dimension.

52 Christmas Card Challenge – 52CCT21-19 – June 1st – Sketch

This week at 52CCT, Design Team member, Fabolia designed the Sketch. I love these challenges because they give you the card design aspect, and I especially love everyone’s interpretation of it. I used a cute stamp from Penny Black, Jolly Christmas Friends. I used Copics to colour my image, a sentiment from MFT, and paper from my stash to layer.
