Simply Create Too - Challenge 169 - Stitching (Real or Faux)

Hello, welcome to April's Simply Create Too - Challenge 169 - Stitching (real or Faux). I made up a Covid Card with faux stitching around the face masks and doctor's scrubs. I used a Covid Virus SVG from Etsy, and a doctor SVG from Circuit's, Bears on Parade! For the virus I was able to use some of my ugly patterned paper.

Please everyone stay safe, social distance, wear a mask, wash your hands.

I sent to above cards to all my Adult friends, and the before Easter Egg holders to the fabulous kids I know. The SVG Egg Holder is from Digital Gems, called Doctor and Nurse.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper April 2021 Challenge

For April Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge I decided to feature an Easter Card. I made a card and Easter Egg Holder for each of the special kids in my life. For the projects I used both patterned and solid paper. To cut the SVG files, I used my Cricut. The egg holders are from Digital Gems - Etsy, and the 3D layered cards I used files from Okadee SVG. The latter comes with 4 files - bunny, lamb, duck, and chick. I created a back piece to make these into cards, I also glue each layer on top of each other vs adding more dimension use foam dots.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper March 2021 Challenge

Every month Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge is an open papercraft challenge that encourages you to use patterned paper. Because it is March, I thought I would make up a fun St. Paddy's Day Card. I selected the adorable 3D "Irish Terrier" and "Leprechaun"  added a back as to make it into a card. Nothing says Irish, like an Irish Terrier and a classic Leprechaun!

My brother's first dog was a little red terrier that we called, "Terry"  (I know very original) or as my Dad said - Terry the Terrible Terrier. We lived in Vancouver where it rains almost daily, and Terry hated the rain. I remember Mom having to hold an umbrella over the dog to get her to go outside to do her business!

Using my Cricut, I made 2 versions of each card using both solid coloured and pattern paper. I also added a back as to make it into a card. The SVG file is from Okadee SVGs called 3D St. Patrick's Characters Bundle. It comes with 5 designs, a terrier, 2 different leprechauns, unicorn, and a bunny. There are 6 layers and I made them to fit inside a 5 x 7 card. You can certainly added 3D foam between the layers, but as I was using them as cards I glued each layer on top of each other.

Simply Create Too - Challenge 167 - Use Heart(s)

For this month the Simply Create Too Design Team is looking for use of a heart or hearts. I made these super cute Corgi pups. I love these little dogs with their heart shaped bums. I wrote Be Hin' Valentine on the inside of the card, and pun on the Be Mine Valentine theme. The supper cute SVG file is from Okadee SVGs from Etsy or Design Bundle called St. Valentine's Puppies. There are three adorable puppies that can certainly be used for more than just Valentine's Day.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper February 2021 challenge

Hello everyone. For my card for February I picked a fun Valentine's theme. I made up Valentine cards for my grand daughter. I used a SVG file cut from Craft Genesis. It is a very simply design - no gluing required. I used patterns paper for either the backing or top layered butterfly. Both sides have a double slot and you simply insert the lollipop. I added a Happy Valentine's Stamp to the back and will add a tag with each child's name.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper January 2021 challenge

This is a new year, and while our governments are doing their best to get everyone a vaccination for the Covid19 virus we must still be careful. Wear a Mask, Wash your Hands, Social Distance. As a friendly reminder for friends and family, I created two cards. One show a Doctor (from Circuit's, Teddy Bears on Parade) wearing his mask, an the second a Covid19 virus with a mask (A SVG file I purchased on Etsy) The latter image I created two copies: one using an ugly patterned paper from my stash, and one using white cardstock for the card's back. I made stitch marks around the masks using a fine black marker. The best thing about this card is that you can utilize some of that ugly patterned paper you have around!
