This week at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge we are looking for things with wings. This beautiful angel is from Special Heart Creations as a part of their Holiday Maker Fest. There are 6 layers to the angel and it is simply beautiful. I cut layer 1 twice so I can make it into a card. The fun glitter paper is from Cricut and cuts like butter with my Cricut Explore Air. I added a few gem just for that added touch. Note: in the original SVG design, she made it as a tree top decoration!

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 517 - Something beginning with the letter R
This week at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge, we are looking for something beginning with the letter R. This week R is for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! The little mandala comes with 8 layers. I made a duplicatr copy of the first layer and added it to the back of the mandala to make it into a card. I used my Cricut Explore set is intricate cutting for both the glitter and plain card stock. The SVG cut file is from Design Bundles, called 3D Christmas Character Bundle by Oakdee SVG. While you buy this file separately, I chose to purchase the bundle that includes Santa, a girl & boy elf, and a gingerbread man. All super cute!

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 516 - Use some Glitter
This week at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge, we are looking for some Glitter. For this challenge I used this FABULOUS glitter paper from Cricut in patel pink and gold. I used my Cricut Explore Air to create a 3D tree topper. I used a file called 3D Papercut Angel by Craft Genesis. There is some extremely detailed cuts to this file so I selected a custom glitter paper/intricate cut for my setting. She will be perfect on my tree this year.

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 515 - Use a Button or two
This week at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge, we are looking for something using a button or two. I have been having lots of fun with my Cricut Air Explore. I started out with just the cartridges, but now I have taking paper crafting to a whole new level. This week I made a Snowman Mandala card but substituted real buttons for the eyes! I added a little highlight on the button using an acrylic paint pen. I purchased the SVG from 3D Snowman Mandala SVG Cut File by GinaCCreates on Etsy.

Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge November 2020
I have had this SVG file called Elegant Evening Bags by Dreaming Tree for some time and finally decided to make it for this month's Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge, This particular bag is called, "Gold Purse." You can purchase the files separately or as part of a design bundle. I always chose the bundle. It includes 2 more elegant bags. I used my Cricut Explore Air to cut this file out. Leo from Dreaming Tree always includes an assembly video which makes to whole project easy to make. I chose Christmas patterned paper to make the purse. Dreaming Tree also included a free "Change Purse" SVG file that I also made in the same papers. The large purse has a magnetic opener so you can add a small present inside. The change purse includes slots so you can attach a gift card. I added a few gems to make it extra special!
Join us each month for new inspiring ways to use some of your patterned paper!
