Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 492 - Include a Bear

This week the Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge is looking for a bear. I opted for a super simple design, using only patterned paper and a bonus bow! I purchased some really beautiful Christmas themed paper from Michael's. As they constantly changed their everyday paper pads, I don't know the exact name of this paper. I used 4 papers from the pack and added a sentiment die from MFT to complete it.

The Design Team at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge is looking for silver this week. I made a very simple card using the Church Scene die-cut from Cottage Cutz. I made it using silver foil paper and white cardstock background.

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 490 - Candy Canes

The Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Design Team is looking for Candy Canes this week. I used another of the SVG files from My Scrap Chick called, Santa's Chair Box Card.  I used my Cricut Explore Air to make my card. It is a box card that folds flat to mail. The candy canes were a part of Santa's chair. The paper was from my stash. I added a little distress ink to some of the edges and some white ink for the highlight in his eyes and boots.

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 489 - Include a Tree or Two or More

This week at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge, we are looking for cards with trees! I decided to make some more watercoloured tree backgrounds and trees. I used various tree stamps and dies from Tim Holtz, Penny Black, Stampin' Up, Impression Obsession and Dee's Distinctively Dies.

I used Distress Ink sprays and ink pads as the watercolour media, watercolour and Neenah Solar white card stock/paper. The snow hills are hand-cut. I tried using multiple colours for a blended effect, and the smooshing technique. All around I simply had fun.

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 488 - Include a Bell or Bells

For this week's challenge, the Design Team at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge is looking for Bells. I made a card using the SVG Nativity Bundle from My Scrap Chick. I cut the images out using my Cricut Explore Air. I ink the paper edges and added 2 jingle bells to the face facing sheep. The card stock is from my stash. This is the 3rd card of the series I made for my grandchildren. The card is 8.5 x 11 and I printed the Christmas story suitable for 5-7-year-olds for the inside. I have included all three cards below. Note: the manger and wise men were posted in earlier CHCC.

Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge May 2020

For this month I am thinking spring at Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge. I am using a new SVG project called Garden Tote (1 of  3 pieces from The Dreaming Tree's Garden Goodies). I made the tote using patterned papers from my stash and inked the edges with Distress Inks. I am holding a "Garden Party Bar-B-Q" in the spring for a dear friend and we are all going to set up her garden for Spring/Summer flowers. With the tote, we have included a pair of garden gloves and seeds. We also got her a perfect garden chair to join the outdoors in. I used my Cricut Explore Air to cut the SVG files.
