CHNC blog button DT
This week’s challenge at CHCC, we are looking for a card without a sentiment. I chose to use a stamp by Stampendous called, Christmas Cottage. I started by embossing the image with white embossing powder. Nxt using Oxide Distress Inks I coloured the card front using yellow, oranges and reds. I cleaned the ink off the embossing, layered the card on card front then flicked water droplets over the front for effect.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown – CCT4-19 – Technique – Heat Embossing

This week’s challenge at 52 Christmas Card Challenge is to make a card using heat embossing. I selected two stamps by Hero Arts. I started with white embossing the trees in white Hero Arts Embossing powder. Next using various blue shades of Oxide Ink, I sponged the Neenah Solar cardstock background in various tones. I cleaned the ink off the embossed image with a baby wipe. I added the sentiment in Versafine Black and finished the project by layered the image on white and blue cardstock. I decided to flick water into the card for the effect.

This week the CRAFT Design Team is looking for a Love or Valentine’s Day Card. Yes, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! I picked this adorable digi from The Paper Shelter,  called Pizza Chef. I was originally thinking on the Dean Martin song, Amore…When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie – That’s amore! but I ended up with “You stole a pizza of heart! Happy Valentine’s Day” for my inside sentiment. I used my Copic Markers to colour the chef, and dies and scraps to make the pizza.

CHNC blog button DT
This week we are looking for a card that uses a sentiment as the main feature of the Christmas project/card. I made a quick and simple card using some of my Christmas dies. For the sentiment, I cut the word JOY out twice and used the white cardstock as the O and silver cardstock for the J and Y.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown – CCT3-19

Our theme this week is Silent Night. I have a wonderful paper with the music of Silent Night but in my messy craft room I was not successful in finding it…insert sad face! So I made do with what I could find. I used an older Hero Arts stamp called Snowing Village CG396. Using my Misti, I stamped the images several times to ensure I got a black sky. I coloured the houses using Copic markers and added glitter mist to the full card front. The sentiment is recycled from a Christmas card.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 419 – Recycle or Use Something Old

CHNC blog button DT
Wow, we are into 2019 already. For our new Christmas Challenge, we are looking for a card using something old or recycled. I made a quick card, simply by recycling a commercial card I received this Christmas. I cut out the card image and a plain piece of white cardstock, and paper pieced them together. I reversed the order for the inside. The sentiment was cut from the sentiment of the original card.
