Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 496 - Use a Snowflake or Two or More

This week marks the halfway of the year, the Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Team is looking for a card with snowflakes. I used the reverse (negative space) for my snowflakes and backed them on the white card front. I added a piece of cardstock with the sentiment printed on it, Bartholomew from Whipper Snapper Stamps, and a few acrylic snowflake gems. I added a little shading with my Copic markers.

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 495 - use some washi tape

This week the Design Team at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge is looking for Washi Tape as a part of your challenge. The Santa Window is one of my favourite Digi Stamps from Bugaboo Stamps; Unfortunately, it is currently retired but they are re-releasing files from their vault all the time. I coloured the stamp with Copic markers. I then designed the card to look like the inside of the house with Deer antlers on the wall from Stampin' Up, embossed striped paper to resemble beadboard and the washi tape to look like chair mounding. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

Please join us each week for a new fun challenge.

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 494 - Non-traditional Christmas Colours

This week the Design Team at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge is looking for something that isn't the common Red/Green/White/Gold colours. I opted to add pink, orange, and purple. The center tree was created using a die from MFT and the smaller trees are a stamp from Stampin' Up. The papers are from my stash.

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 493 - Winter Fun

This week's challenge at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge is all about Winter Fun. My absolute favourable company to purchase SVGs filed from is Dreaming Tree. I have purchased almost every one of their projects, and some of the best ones are available for FREE! This cascade cards can be purchased separately or as a bonus bundle. I always purchase the bundle! It is called, It's Cold Outside. The Dreaming Tree team always post a full video on the assembly, plus PDF files. *Note the sentiment is not included! You can use your own stamps or dies or print something us yourselves. I used my Cricut Explore Air to cut out all the pieces, added distress ink to the paper edges, and pompom to the penguin hats.

I hope you will join us next week for a new inspiration.

Simply Create Too Challenge 161 - All Summer Long

Nothing says summer than a weekend Bar-B-Q! The Design Team at Simply Create Too is looking for a project with All Summer Long as the theme. I made two cards, a cheeseburger and a beer - two summer staples! They are both from Dreaming Tree's SVG bundle, "Grillin and Chillin." I made both cards using my Cricut Explore Air. Dreaming Tree sells each card SVG file separately or as a bundle that includes a super cool barbeque box. I inked the cardstock edges with Distress Ink and added an embossed pattern to the beer foam! The sentiment on the burger card is from Hero Arts. The cards have the option to be either a Happy Father's Day card or plain. I chose the latter.

Simple Create Too has a new challenge every month. Join the fun!

Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge June 2020

Our monthly Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge was created to prompt you to use your stash of patterned paper. If you are like me you have a ton of it, but for some reason, it stays in the paper pad or on your shelf. I made an easel card this month using different patterned papers. This card was created using a dun SVG cut file by My Scrap Chick called, "My Comfy Chair." It was super easy to put together and fun choosing the different papers and card stock. I also inked the edges of all my papers using distress ink for a little dimension.
